Hello! Welcome to my website!

I wanted to give my family, friends, and followers a chance to keep up with me and see a glimpse into my life!

If you know me, you know I don’t fit in a box. I like to think of my life as a journey of pushing boundaries with intentional acceptance and calculated risk. Life is about exploring below the surface and digging deep to find what fuels you. I have found that I am fueled by a deep-rooted spark that is unique to the path I have paved.

A little about me — I was born in Los Angeles, raised in the south, and now I’m back in Los Angeles pursing my career as a model. I graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS in Fashion and Textile Management, and a concentration in Brand Management and Marketing. Soon after graduation I took a slightly different turn from seeking traditional employment and moved to Miami to begin my career in modeling! I have had the opportunity to travel around the globe working as a model from Miami to New York, across Europe and Asia, and now back in Los Angeles!

Some of you may know me by Mary Layson Gottfried (which yes is my full name), but like I said, I’m from the south, and southern guys and gals know a thing or two about double names. Since I began modeling, I have transitioned to using only Layson as my model name, which is what some of you may also know me by! I grew up in a big family, with four brothers, surrounded by all things sports, games and competition! I love being outdoors and staying active, and a few of my favorite ways to do both are yoga, volleyball, tennis and hiking — throw in a margarita (salt it up), some good music, a sunset and I’m a happy gal!

I have made countless memories and had the privilege of working with incredible clients around the world including, Dooney & Burke, Bulgari, Kate Spade, Skechers, Target, Boston Proper, Vera Wang, Altuzurra, Hugo Boss, DL 1961, LG, Joes Jeans, Crocs, Jill Stuart Beauty, Revlon, Badgley Mischka, Shiseido Cosmetics, Lidl, Aldo, Zalando, Schwarzkopf, and many more!!

Modeling has pushed me to new heights, and I can’t help but overflow with gratitude and appreciation for what has unfolded and what is still to come.
